I Like Taking the Road Most People Drive Past.

I’m a Maine-based photographer, traveler, and perpetual explorer with a habit of stopping for old barns, working waterfronts, forgotten roads, lighthouses, covered bridges, and anything else that looks like it might have a story.

Grit & Grain of New England grew out of my love for photographing the places around me and wanting to see more of what’s hiding in plain sight. This isn’t about checking off the biggest tourist attractions. It’s about finding the diner you’d never notice from the highway, the waterfall down a dirt road, the weathered fishing village, or the little town that makes you want to pull over and stay awhile.

Say Hello

Have a favorite New England spot I should explore? Know a restaurant worth the drive? Interested in my photography? Or just want to say hello? I’d love to hear from you.
